RoHS Compliant Encapsulated Transformers

To add to the existing product profile, Clairtronic are pleased to launch a new range of RoHS compliant EI encapsulated transformers. The range is designed, manufactured and tested in accordance with the latest international safety standards, CE marked, with selected parts carrying VDE approval to EN61558.

The manufacturing process of UL94-V0 encapsulation is performed under vacuum thus providing the transformers with excellent performance within aggressive environments of temperature and humidity change whilst, compare to open construction transformers, they have a lower thermal resistivity which i8mproves heat dissipation.

The transformers are designed with a standard 230V primary suitable for the harmonized European voltage supply and are available with a wide range of two secondaries for series or parallel connection. Power ratings from 0.35VA up to 10VA are included in the standard range.

The new range of encapsulated transformers offer an attractive solution for medium and low power electronics circuits. Further power and product ranges are available to suit all applications.

SAS Spark gap surge absorberCarinda International has just released SAS Spark gap surge absorber, these devices are constructed with a micro-gap element that is based on semiconductor technology. The glass tube encapsulated device is assembled in a clean room to allow the correct percentage of gas to be added. This gas accurately functions for the discharge to limit the surge by flash and heat without interfering with the circuit. Surge current capacities from 500 to 3000 amps. The features include low capacitance, high insulation resistance and small size device that is not polarised.
